About Us

Located in the centre of the authentic town of Urgup, The Calypso Cave offers spectacular views over the town and the valleys beyond. It is known that the building and its structure, which was a home before the construction of the hotel, dates back to the early Christians fleeing Roman persecution in the 8th century.

Our hotel offers different rooms decorated with handmade pottery and ceramic objects with traces of Cappadocia and Anatolia. Our hotel started construction in the first quarter of 2023 and started to host guests in October 2024. While the building was first used as a house, it later started to serve as a hotel. Within months we expanded our hotel by combining this house and the surrounding structures. Centrally located The Calypso Cave now has 11 rooms and a breakfast hall, some of the hotel rooms are very unique as they are carved into caves.
